Yoga Paths
Since human beings began practicing yoga thousands of years, the symbol of a tree has often been related to the discipline – and for good reason! Yoga has a multitude of branches when it comes to choosing to practice and they are all based on the same philosophy, or trunk, of spirituality. Hatha yoga is best known to Westerners – the physical act of practice poses. Here are some other ways you can choose Depending on your personal yoga practice.
Raja Yoga
In Raja Yoga, the main goal is the state of calm and spiritual meditation. There are eight principles that are applied rigorously and raja yoga, and even if the major movement, or physical poses is not the focus. The eight principles or stages are:
* Ethical standards or "yama"
* Self-discipline or "niyama"
* Posture or "asana"
* Breath control or pranayama "
* Sensory withdrawal or pratyahara "
* Concentration or Dharana "
* Meditation or "dhyana"
* Free or "samadhi"
Karma Yoga
The focus of karma yoga is the service and relationships with others. The basic idea is that our experiences today are a direct result of our past actions. Therefore, all that those who practice karma yoga do today is, in an effort to create a better future for themselves themselves and those around them. They do this by removing the motivations of pessimism and selfishness. This means living for others instead of ourselves.
Jnana Yoga
Those who practice jnana yoga are most concerned with the development of the mind. They are scholars interested in yoga philosophy and practice Yoga focuses on the study and understanding of ancient texts and traditional. This is considered one of the disciplines of yoga the most intense learning is intense and difficult.
Unlike the branches of a tree, the paths of yoga often intersect and overlap. Although is difficult to spend two or three branches of trees rather, it is not difficult to practice more than one path of yoga. Try them all if you want and select those you attract.
