What is the difference between yoga and pilates?

I have no idea, one year of all yoga, pilates, now, everything. What is the difference? is best done?

Yoga is a practice of five thousand years that originated in India. Pilates was created by Joseph Pilates during the Second World World War to help the rehabilitation of soldiers. Joseph Pilates based many of their yoga movements. But their system is mainly focused on the core (back and abdomen) and is a purely physical practice. Yoga, however, is an orthodox philosophy that unites the mind, body and spirit. Encourage always treat my students in their classes as "a moving meditation." Personally, I prefer yoga because it benefits not me only physically, but mentally and emotionally.
