Did you see the sunrise today?
Did you see the sunrise today?
The thermometer outside read 48 and living with tile, a toast 54. Cold enough to wear socks and a hat, but not as fast as trigger a fire in the stove.
I started practicing yoga in the morning, listening to the Buddhist monks chant in the mountains. It hear the sounds of rain and a distant shore, after a while, the sound of singing monks and the occasional chime and Tibetan bowls.
The darkness slowly gave way to 6:00 bright orange stripes on a white canvas, blue-white. Before my astonished eyes and dream, the scene changes in a few seconds billowing white clouds, which hangs in the sky and await the first sign of sunlight. Inhale, exhale.
Early bird, early morning appear on my terrace and start hunting the last of sunflower seeds I had left for them last night. A meal in order.
Yoga for me is the best way to start the day, a time to renew my body and make peace with my mind. Yoga reminds me to be nice to my body and make all the aches and pain and focus my energy on where it is needed.
It just takes time and every day is a new beginning!
I lie down, as the warm rays of light hits me now face and make me smile. Did you see the sunrise today? If not, do not worry, like everything in life, another chance tomorrow. Inhale, exhale.
