Is it normal for my tailbone to hurt after doing the boat pose (yoga)?

i’ve been doing some yoga recently and today i did the boat pose (which is where you balance on your tailbone). I believe this is how i hurt/bruised my tailbone. and yes i did use a folded blanket for support.
so is it normal for the tailbone to feel a bit bruised after doing this pose?

Any form of exercise that creates pain is bad. Do not do this again and give your tail bone time to heal. I do not agree with a form of exercise that allows the full weight of the body to balance on the thin and weak tail bone. this is not normal and do not attempt it again.
