The Calling

Race
After forming in 1999, the Band and Kamin were signed to a recording contract with RCA.
Call the first album was recorded from 1999 to 2001. As the band edge, Sean Woolstenhulme (guitar), Billy Mohler (bass) and Nate Wood (drums) have been added in 2001 as additional musicians / touring musicians, and some songs have been re-recorded. The first album of Appeal, Camino Palmero, was published in July 2001 and quickly became a success because of the strength of his single "Wherever you go." The song was prominently in the episode first season of the TV series Smallville "Metamorphosis" ..
In June 2002, The Calling Woolstenhulme left, was later replaced by Dino Meneghin. Mohler and Wood in October 2002. In November 2003, former members Wood and Mohler continued Band, Kamin, and address the group, accusing each other of mismanagement, fraud and request a verification of money spent during the tenure appeal. They said they were promised a share of royalties and profits from touring and merchandise in 2001-02. Band and Kamin were supported both hired musicians and are not entitled to royalties.
In June 2004, the group returned with two. The album had three singles and accompanying videos: "Our Lives" Things will go My Way "and" whatever. " With new musicians on tour, the band toured for most of the year 2004 with the founding members Kamin that sporadic appearances. By July 2005, the group pauses indefinitely after giving a concert in Temecula, California. Alex Band solo album, titled We've all been there, is scheduled for the second quarter of 2008 Press [citation needed]. Alex and his new band (Often mislabeled as "The Calling") has played sporadic concerts around the United States and Brazil 2008. The group performed in Washington State University, April 19, 2008 for Springfest. Also presented at Towson University, April 26, 2008 in the annual program of Tigerfest. In addition to these two concerts, they played in Celebration, Florida October 10, 2008.

"Wherever you go" is heard in the movie Coyote Ugly, but not on the soundtrack.
"Wherever You Will Go" has been used largely by UPN in 2001 on advertising to promote the debut of Star Trek: Enterprise.
The CW hit series Smallville used "Everywhere where You Will Go "in the second episode of season 1 (Metamorphoses), but has never been included in one of film music. The song "Unstoppable" appeared in the pilot.
In 2001, The Calling contributed a live version of his song "Wherever You Will Go" album Charity Live in Room IV X.
"Wherever You Will Go" was used in the soundtrack of Love Actually.
Comedy popular television Mad TV parodies the video for "Wherever You Will Go", parodying the way of summons, Creed, Pearl Jam and Ray Charles, all alike.
The group made its appearance in the film, Coyote Ugly, playing "Wherever You Will Go", when Violet goes to the club in search of the manager and go to Kevin for the first time.
"For You" has also been used in the band Soundtrack Daredevil.
The song "One By One" was written on a shooting happened in school more than eight years [when? ago], but not the Columbine High School massacre that is sometimes thought.
The Calling appeared the television show American Dreams as protesters sang a cover of the Beatles song Nowhere Man
Touring drummer Justin Meyer (2003-2004) was lifelong friends with Aaron Kamin.
Touring bassist Corey Britz (2004) has been on tour with Gavin Rossdale.
Touring guitarist Justin Derric (2004) now plays Pink.
Brianna Real World: Hollywood has done with the solo band Alex Hollywood, California.
