How can I make my doctor listen?
I am constantly panic attacks and I am very worried about everything. I can not sleep. I have depression. I'm exhausted all the time and I can not concentrate at school. I will counsel, but not enough. I think I need medication, but my doctor does not listen. She told me to drink hot chocolate before going to bed or go to yoga and nonsense like that. How can I be taken seriously?
It is a good thing is that this is not your doctor immediately push the drug into the groove – With all medicines there are side effects, they may end up making you feel worse a little better. But to feel that, not being listend is difficult. It is possible and common for a second opnion. I suggest you see another doctor. Tell the new document that comes to them for a second opinion and list of all the problems you encounter. Perhaps hearing the opinion of another document would, as a different perspective on you. It frustrating to be told to do things like drinking warm milk before bedtime, and if the exercise is easier said than done, especially when you feel so low. Perhaps these things for people if they can encourage it, but when you feel anxious about what is difficult to be able to do. I suggest talk to your advisor about how you feel not listend by your doctor. Is it possible your concellor be able to communicate with his doctor about his name and support to their concerns? I hope you resolve this without medication, his best if possible. But if you just need for you to come back I hope it works and are consistent with what we feel and want. All the best
