Anyone who does yoga at home with a DVD and watch the results and benefits?

I want to start doing yoga. I was said rest and a great way to get ringtones as well. I am very busy. I am a single mother in school full time RN (Early return later this month) and I work part time as secretary. I want to take a yoga class, but the schedule of courses is not compliant and need to find care for my son, so I do not work for me. I saw an online DVD for beginners. "Yoga for losing weight "and I think to buy them. I wonder if people are eventually results or the benefits of DVDs at home without using an additional instructor? Can anyone give me ideas and honest opinions home Yoga for beginners? I have the Pilates DVD, but it was not so crazy about Pilates. I hope that yoga would be a better fit?

My wife has had good results with the combination of classes and DVD help continue to do when she can not go to class and class allows you to appropriate exercises. The DVD can not be corrected. We believe it is preferable to have a professional class a couple of times at least to start the best way.
